Annals of Advertising: Air France's Sexy Sojourns
Even those of us who can't afford a week in Paris can admire the new print campaign from Air France. It's sophisticated and sexy, and these days you don't see that combo very much. I love the visual simplicity--the ads show the Air France logo on a flight trajectory that fuses with a passenger's clothes. The passenger, natch, is a beautiful woman, although in some of the ads all we see is her stiletto heel. This is France, so of course there is fashion and a fabulous chignon. The campaign was created by BETC Euro RSCG, which called in photographer Camilla Akrans to execute the visuals. The campaign captures the way I travel, in my head.--David Schonauer
