Getting Bumped, and Loving It

Picture_2 If you're planning on traveling over the July 4th holiday, or if you have other summer travel plans or business travel plans, you might want to check out this article. Photographers and anyone else traveling these days should be prepared for long lines, overbooked flights, fully-loaded airplanes sitting on runways for hours due to thunderstorms in the midwest...you name it. Every day seems to bring new travel horror stories. The advice in this article—traveling early in the day, traveling a day before you absolutely have to arrive somewhere, is practical for everyone. However, photographers with a lot of gear might find it more difficult to switch flights as efficiently as others. As for me, I'll be taking pictures in my back yard tomorrow.
