Photography that Makes a Difference

Blueearth_1 The Blue Earth Alliance has money and wants to fund your project! That is, if your photographic work is designed to educate the public about threatened cultures, endangered environments and other social concerns. The 501(c)3 is calling for submissions, and it's one of only two times a year it accepts proposals, so get off your butt and get that portfolio together (submission costs $60 or $30 if you're a member). The deadline is Jan. 21 so the time to act is now (if you miss this one you'll have to wait until June).

Frans Lanting, Steve Simon, David Maisel, Heidi Bradner, and Gary Braasch are but a few of the photographers to get funding from BEA.

For more information on submitting, visit www.blueearth.org/about/submissions.html.
